Gemstone Cleaning

Use soap and water to keep your gemstones shining brightly. Avoid harsh chemicals and cleaners.

Weights & Measures

The weight and dimensions of a gemstone are given in the gems description. All gemstones are weighed to a hundredth of a carat. The dimensions are recorded to a tenth of a millimeter and are written as:

length x width x depth or
length/width x depth.

It is best to wait until you have received your gemstone to create a setting as this allows for slight variations in measurements.

Photo & Video Quality

Getting the true color of a gemstone captured in a photo can be challenging. The photos and videos posted online are taken to best depict a stone, but due to variations in individual devices may look slightly different in person.

It should be noted that photos do an incredible job of capturing detail such as inclusions in a gemstone that may not be visible when viewing the same stone in your hand.

Gemstone Enhancements

Gemstone Enhancement Codes

Every gemstone has an enhancement code in its description. This is to identify what, if any, type(s) of manmade alteration was used that could effect the color, inclusions and/or durability of the stone.

N- Natural. Not enhanced; seller guarantees by specific stone.

A- Gemstones not currently known to be commercially enhanced or that are rarely enhanced.

H-Heating. The use of heat to effect desired alteration of color, clarity and/or phenomena.

R- Irradiation. The use of neutrons, gamma rays or beta particles to alter a gemstone's color.

Shipping & Returns Policy

Shipping

All gemstones are shipped insured using USPS Priority Mail at the cost of $10. The cost of shipping, insurance and any additional duties are the responsibility of the buyer.

Returns

I hope you love your gemstone more in person than online, but if you are dissatisfied with your purchase, a refund or exchange can be made within 7 days of receiving it. Refunds or exchanges will only be processed once the gem has been received and inspected to be in its original condition (shipping charges will not be refunded).
