A Love for the Unique with a Focus on Color

Molly Fauth is a rock enthusiast who discovered gem cutting while attending the Durango Gem and Mineral show in 2018. There she met master gemcutter Bruce Frust who, since then, has graciously been passing on his 30 years of knowledge in the lapidary arts. 

Kaleidoscope Gems was formed from a passion for excellence in cutting.  When faceting a gem, you are given a close-up view of the miniature universe within a mineral. It could be a minute inclusion, or a slight difference in growth pattern, maybe a particular ray of light, or possibly- a mesmerizing perfection of clarity in a monochromatic hue. Whatever it is, it is the challenge of brining out the individual beauty of each gem that is the cornerstone of Kaleidoscope Gems.

A colored gemstone is so much more than a pretty mineral. It is a geological rarity to be collected, an heirloom for generations, a fashion statement, and on top of everything, a beautiful investment. As such, it should be nothing short of excellence. To do that, the time has been taken to cut each stone of excellent quality in a way that highlights the magnificent, individual characteristics of that mineral.
